Spring at Crafting with Dragonflies

Our challenge this fortnight at Crafting with Dragonflies is Spring has Sprung.

The "nest" was cut on my Silhouette Cameo. I heat-embossed the chipboard bird in blue powder. The little eggs were cut from a patterned paper by my Mom. I've been raiding my stash!
I used two dies from a Spellbinders sentiment set to create the "Sweet Wishes" sentiment.

I put the message section on the back.

Pilin' On the Stash

The themes this month at Pile It On are Try a New Technique and/or Use Your Oldest Stash. You can choose one or both themes, and you may enter the challenge as many times you like, as long as you are inspired by at least one other Challenge theme. We're sponsored by Becky’s Place. Becky also has a great blog with tons of goodies, including card fold tutorials.

I used one of the first rubber stamps I ever purchased, way back in 2010.

The card base was die-cut with the Tri-Shutter Card Bigz Big Shot Pro Die from Sizzix. I stamped the tree with Versamark & used 3 different green embossing powders. The sentiment is a clear stamp from my stash, embossed in the darker green, and the leaves are from Verve Stamps & are embossed in Olive.

Challenges/Inspiration:
Aud Sentiments Challenge #210: Anything Goes + a Sentiment
Dies R Us Challenge #103: You are a Star + Dies (base card is from Sizzix & large rectangles are from Elizabeth Craft)
Pile It On: Use Your Oldest Stash (tree stamp, leaf-patterned Washi tape, and star-patterned Graphic 45 DP)
Retro Rubber Challenge #93: Tic Tac Toe - Die cut, Green, Leaves + rubber stamp (Inkadinkadoo stamp was purchased in 2010)

Classic Birthday -- Card for a Guy at Crafting with Dragonflies

Our challenge this fortnight at Crafting with Dragonflies is Card for a Guy.

The card base is a die-cut; I have several in my stash from my mom, who cut it with the Tri-Shutter Card Bigz Big Shot Pro Die from Sizzix. The patterned paper is the same double-sided sheet. I stamped the old-timey telephone is Vintage Photo distress ink, and inked the background with Tea Dye. I added a bit of Barn Door ink the edge. The word bubble is a die from Latina Crafter. The mustache is a sticker; I enforced it by backing it with black paper, and then embossed it in my BigShot with a diamond-pattern folder. The sentiment was cut from maroon paper with an Xcut die.

Manly Embossing with the Unstampabelles

Our theme this month at the UnstampaBelles challenge is Embossing, with the optional twist of make it for a male. You need to follow the twist to be considered as the DT Favorite, but you only have to follow main theme to win our awesome prize.

For the background, I embossed a yellow cardstock & inked the embossed folder & ran an orange ink pad over the raised bits (actually leftover pieces from a past DT card). I backed the pieces on gold cardstock, and added a mix of metallic embossing powders to the corners.

The "lake" was made from a paper I inked myself with several blues, embossed with with a bubble embossing folder, and then heat-embossed with a layer of clear powder.

The fish were/cut with a koi die from Memory Box, using holographic plastic sheet & one heat-embossed with a shiny orange powder.

The treeline was cut with a Memory Box die, and the sentiment is from Xcut. I embossed the entire piece with my BigShot after gluing on the sentiment.

This doesn't have to be a card for a  man, but I do plan on giving it to a male friend!

Pilin' On a New Technique

The theme this month at Pile It On is Try a New Technique. The only really rule is to be inspired by more than one papercrafting challenge. We're sponsored by Becky’s Place. Becky also has a great blog with tons of goodies, including card fold tutorials. I've tried many of her techniques over the years, but this is my first try at a Wiper Card. I used this presents digi stamp from Beccy's Celebrations set.

I added the yellow background before printing the images. For the sentiment, I used a rubber stamp I recently won from Repeat Impressions. I colored the presents with Copic markers. The card base is a double-sided paper from Webster's Pages that I've had in my stash for a long time; I used it partly because the recipient really likes red tulips. The pop-up birthday sentiment is from a freebie stamp set that came with a magazine.I added a border on the front as well on the back message section with Diamond Stickles.

Digistamps 4 Joy #151: Anything Goes + optional: Add a Sentiment

Gate Fold Cards with Crafting with Dragonflies

Our challenge this fortnight at Crafting with Dragonflies is to make a Gate Fold Card.
The base is a double-sided KaiserCraft paper, to include the message section on the back, but I glued the patchwork paper onto the front to match the inside. The adorable footprints are rubber stamps from Repeat Impressions. I used sticky embossing powder to cover them with blue flocking.
I've had this pre-made cloth bag forever. The image is from a Precious Memories-patterned paper. The buttons were cut/embossed using a Stampin' UP! Embosslit die; I added "thread" with a glittery blue pen.

Inspiration/Challenges:
DL ART Thankful Thursday Challenge #233: Baby
Moving along with the Times #77: For The Boys

I needed another thank-you card, so I made this horizontal gate-fold card:
The base is another double-sided KaiserCraft paper. For the inside, I heat-embossed a dress die-cut in blue, because this is a thank-you for a friend who gave me all her maternity clothes. I decorated the back too.

As you might have guessed, we're expecting a little boy! This is our first, long-awaited child, so it's a very exciting time. But I still find time to craft!
