Feelin' Blue at International Art & Soul

This fortnight at the International Art & Soul Challenge our theme is Blue as Main Color.

The base card is more "artwork" by my 18-month-old. A Father's Day card for his Grandpa!

I stamped the pier scene, fish, and sentiment directly onto the card base. I colored the images with Copic markers. I hand-drew the stitched border. The blue mesh is upcycled from packaging. I covered the wood anchor with blue glitter Stickles; although it's difficult to see in this photo, I embellish the paint splashes with more of the same glitter.

If the Slipper Fits -- Disney Magic at the UnstampaBelles

Our theme this month at the UnstampaBelles challenge is Magic with the optional twist of Be Inspired by the title of a Disney Film. You need to follow the twist to be considered as the DT Favorite, but you only have to follow main theme to win our prize. And remember, no stamps!

I couldn't resist raiding my sticker stash and using these fun Cinderella movie-themed stickers (the sentiments & the images.) I made the border with film-patterned Washi tape & blue mesh (from garlic packaging!) The birds, slipper, and rose were die-cut from shiny light blue & sparkly blue papers. The base card is a pre-embossed cardstock, and I used the negative piece from cutting the slipper to decorate the inside.

Be sure to check out the fabulous projects by my teammates the UnstampaBelles this month!

Under the Sea at International Art & Soul

This fortnight at the International Art & Soul Challenge our theme is Under the Sea.

I made the tag with a stained glass rubber stamp & a clear sentiment stamp; I colored it with Copics before baking. I cut the waves on my Silhouette Cameo; they are actually scraps from a previous project. I filled the shaker with a seashell sequin mix from Spiegelmom Scraps. The mermaid-patterned paper (which I also used for the base card) is from Authentique. My mom sent me this beautiful woodgrain paper.

I die-cut the shells from a corrugated cardboard that I brought home from Panera! I colored them with Copic markers.
