I chose Great Tit Pinecone by IkesArt:
I first heard of the birds Tits while working on Pile It On... we got some DT images, and someone mentioned how much they liked the Great Tit. Well, that started quite the chain reaction from her American teamies, who didn't read it as intended!!! Apparently it's a lovely little bird.
The flourish border was cut with A Quilted Christmas Cricut cartridge. I used a Spellbinders die as a template for the image and mat. I colored the image with Copics, and used a white Sakura glaze pen for the white fluff on the cheeks.
The DP is by the C-Thru Ruler Company. The pinecone brads are from my stash. I heat-embossed the sentiment onto a metal tag.
This is my last project for the OSAAT Design Team until February 2nd. I'm taking a little break, but will be back in the new year.
Inspiration/Challenges:

Jingle Belles: not a CREATURE was Stirring...

A lovely card showing this super little bird. I love your embellishments. Hazel x
ReplyDeleteOh Cg, How I laughed at your story of discovering the 'Great Tit' - mind you, when I lived in the US a number of years ago I had to ask what a Robin was because US Robins are about 6 times large than the UK ones. As for other words that have different connotations in each of our countries - led to some very amusing 'misunderstandings'. This card is very lovely and I'm sure will bring a lot of pleasure to it's recipient. Enjoy your little break - we'll miss you here at OSAAT. Love Ingrid xxx
ReplyDeleteI love this card with the blues around the bird. We have loads of Great Tits, Blue Tits and Coal Tits in our garden. They are all amazing.
ReplyDeleteHugs to you Sue Pxxx
Pretty. Especially like the pine cone brads. Had not heard of the bird until I was given the digi. There are none of this bird in Central TX. Have seen quite a lot of Robins unsure of the season not being Spring while it has become cooler and Autumn is upon us.
