When I started cardmaking I disliked the idea of using pre-printed papers, especially pricey designer ones, when I could stamp and emboss ... but gee, aren't they fun‽ I was quickly converted. I don't want to say I hoard patterned paper, so I won't! but I did grab this chicken-themed DP some time ago and have been saving it for the perfect time...
My husband's co-worker has a farmlet and he's given us a couple dozen fresh eggs this season and I wanted to make his family a thank-you card.
I adapted the basic Center Step Card tutorial at Splitcoast Stampers in SCAL and cut it on Silhouette Cameo. This made it so much easier to create and cut the layers.

ReplyDeleteA few years back, I was still living in NJ so pre 2010, I read an article about people raising chickens in Brooklyn and we had a loose one roaming the streets of our town, we figured he's become someone's barbeque. We see them roaming around here and it doesn't seem weird, there's just too many weirder birds around.
