Our challenge for this fortnight at the International Art & Soul Challenge is Landscapes.
I used lyrics from the song It's a Marshmallow World by Carl Sigman & Peter DeRose, and performed by Bing Crosby, Dean Martin, Brenda Lee, among others. I listened to the Dean Martin version many times this season, and this idea for a marshmallow card using textured paper came to my mind!
The card is made from a white, handmade-type paper that I edged with Elizabeth Craft dies. For the closed view, I added a shiny white piece edged with a Memory Box tree landscape die; I used the offcut as a stencil for the trees on the middle panel. The sun with embossed/cut with a Spellbinders die and inked only on the raised layer. I watercolored both the red & green parts with distress inks.
