My father-in-law's birthday in on April 1st...the first time he told me that, I thought he was joking! So I used an idea from his math-minded son to make him a punny birthday card:
He's turning 64, which is 2 to the 6th power! I used the font Chalkduster to create the numbers, and used the rub-on technique to transfer it onto the notebook-patterned die cut. The sentiment on the page is from a Dilo en EspaƱol set, and translates loosely to "Look who's turning...." The other sentiment is from an old StudioG set that I've had for almost a decade & have never inked up! I meat-embossed it in black onto a blue, metal tag. The background is a beige, patterned paper from Studio Calico that I inked with orange & yellow inks, and then covered with glitter embossing powder. I used Glossy Accents to adhere the little shaped glitter pieces. The Birthday Boy got a huge kick out of it!
