Happy 8th Blogoversary!

I started this blog in July 2009 as way to share my cooking adventures, but I ended up finding the joys of cardmaking, and joined the online crafting community whole-heartedly in June 2010. By December 2010, I had made it to my 100th post, and now I've published over 1287 posts!

This means it's time for Blog Candy! This year I'm offering a small grab-bag of delicious craft items. I've set aside some of my favorite crafting items, and will tailor the package to the winner.

I hope you'll follow my blog (there are some links on my sidebar) and leave a comment so I can visit you. To my long-time followers, thank you so much!

Blog Candy Alert! - Summery Celebration Card

It's almost my 6th Blogoversary, so I made this card to show off one of stamps I'm offering in my Blog Candy!

The flipflop border was made from a file from SVG Attic's Just Beachy set. The papers, tapes, flowers, and brad are form my stash. I filled the shaker card with red star sequins, blue glitter, yellow microseconds, and music notes that I cut on my Silhouette Cameo.

The stamp is Lounging Miles by Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps, and is part of my Blog Candy, along with two Shake It Card templates like I used for this card:

The colors of the flip-flops colors were inspired by the new sandals from Austin Footwear Labs, which are created from recycled scrap tires, are casually comfortable, and were coincidentally partly developed by my awesome brother-in-law. I know it's shameless promotion, but they really are groovy shoes

Speaking of shameless promotion, this card is also a reminder of the current challenges at Pile It On (Your Flag Colors) and The Crafter's Cafe (Summer Fun).

I was also inspired by the following fabulous challenges:
Eureka Stamps: Red, White, Blue
Fairy Tale Stampers #120: Flip Flops
Perfectly Rustics: Add Movement (shaker card)
Sketch Saturday: Sketch

My 5th Blogoversary!

I started this blog on July 9, 2009, wrote 15 posts about cooking that month and then didn't blog until the next June, when I started crafting seriously. By December, 2010, I had made it to my 100th post. I now have published over 850 posts, almost all featuring something I made inspired by the online crafting community. Many thanks to all the wonderful and generous people I have met over the years.

4th Blogoversary - Candy Time!

On July 9, 2009, I started this blog with a post about homemade cheese, and now blogging is a huge part of my life. I don't make cheese much anymore, but I've gotten so much out of the craftosphere. To thank you all for inspiring me over the years, I'm offering a few Blog Candies!

My mom was recently asked to distribute the crafting supplies of a neighbor who passed away; She sent me lots of those goodies, to share with my crafting friends. All items are new and unused.

I'm not going to ask you to become a follower of my blog or post my Candy on your sidebar, but please feel free to do both! Here's a preview of the 5 separate candies:

Please note that I'm only offering some of my Candy to U.S. addresses (including APO / FPO); so sorry, but there's some heavy stuff and my budget is limited. If you have a U.S. address where you can ship things, that's fine too.

It goes without saying that this is all for personal use; no resale!

You can enter as many of the candies as you like, as long you follow the address restrictions. You don't need a blog to enter (just leave that section empty), but if you do have a blog, please link it up so I can pop over and say hello.

Blog Candy time!

Get your own free Blogoversary button!Wow, to think it was only 3 years ago that I first started this blog! It all began as a way for my family to read about my cheesemaking endeavors, and then a year later I discovered craft-blogging. July 5 will mark my 2nd full year of active cardmaking, and I've learned so much and met so many great people in that time.

As a thank-you to my followers, past and present, I've put together this package of goodies:

Blog Candy

One of my most favorite things about Blog Candy is that you get stuff that you might not buy otherwise... In that spirit, I've collected some of my favorite embellishments:
BusyBusyHoneybee on Etsy
  • ShrinkyDink plastic
  • Stickpin by BusyBusyHoneybee (photo on the right)
  • Borders embossing folders (if you don't have an embossing machine, you can use a rolling pin!)
  • Lili of the Valley Mice are Nice A4 Die Cut Sheet
  • Adhesive, die-cut, felt borders
  • Adhesive flowers
  • Rub-on flourishes
  • Two Glitter Gel pens
  • Punch-paper Candi
  • Gemstone spiral
Looks good, no?! All you need to do to be eligible is add your name to the InLink & become a follower if you're not already; If you don't have a blog or can't follow in a conventional way, just leave me a comment and I'll throw your name into the hat.

You have until 11:59PM/Midnight US EST on July 5 to enter. I'll announce the winner on July 6; and yes, I'll ship international!
