Sweet Birthday Wishes at International Art & Soul

This fortnight at the International Art & Soul Challenge our challenge is Birthday.

I used the Hanging Charm Pull Tab die set from Karen Burniston/Elizabeth Craft Designs. The papers are from Authentique. The Cupcake stamp is from Pinkfresh Studio, and is part of a super-cute set I won at the Mesa Stamp & Scrapbook Expo. The silverware charms a from Bead Landing, and the pretty seam binding is from Paper Sweeties. I stamped the sentiment onto a scrap of printable acetate in StazOn ink, and colored in on the rough side with Copic markers. I added some Stickles to the frame, and put a message section on the back.

Pilin' On the Scraps

The themes this month at Pile It On are Lots of Layers and/or Use Your Scraps. You can choose one or both themes, and you may enter the challenge as many times you like, as long as you are inspired by at least one other Challenge theme. We're sponsored by Angie's Digital Stamps, and I used her At the Beach digi stamp. I only used scraps from my offcut box to make this shaker card.

The mason jar & umbrella dies are from Elizabeth Craft Designs; I bought it from Elizabeth herself at the Stamp & Scrapbook Expo in Mesa, Arizona, last September, with the intention of using it to make a shaker card. So glad I finally got around to it! I filled the shaker with blue microbeads, green & blue star sequins, and glass beads. I heat-embossed the sentiment (Lili of the Valley) in blue onto the towel part of the image. I had inked the gradient blue background a long time ago, and it ended up in my stash, just waiting for the perfect project!

Karma Waterfall

http://snarkystampers.blogspot.com/2019/04/soss-challenge-132-k-is-for-karma.html
When I saw the Karma challenge at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers, I was inspired to make a card I've wanted to make for a while. You see, my son's favorite song is "Karma Chameleon" and it's such a fun & personal thing that I knew I'd have to craft about it sooner or later.

I made a Waterfall Card for a fun way to showcase the lyrics; I used the lyrics that I sing, not the actual lyrics! I just randomly chose this song; I started singing it to him in the womb and he's always responded to it. I used reflective silver card for the base because he loves reflective things. He sure did smile when I showed him this!

The little chameleons are from a Shimelle/American Crafts DP, and the swirly paper is from Reflections. The speech bubbles are a stamp/die set from Latina Crafter, and I used white Sakura gel pen for the hand-lettering on the reflective paper.

Bokeh for Critters at the UnstampaBelles

Our theme this month at the UnstampaBelles challenge is Krazy Kritters, with the optional twist of Bokeh Background. You need to follow the twist to be considered as the DT Favorite, but you only have to follow main theme to win our prize. And remember, no stamps!

I had tons of fun making the bokeh background. I set the sentiment in Century Old Style & printed it directly onto a dog & newspaper patterned paper form Graphic45. I used the same paper for the frame, and a paper from the same collection for the card base. The hipster dogs are from a patterned paper my Mom sent me eons ago.I also added some photogrpahy-themed Washi tape from my stash.

I've entered this into the following fabulous Challenges:
Dare 2B Artzy Challenges: (1st Sunday) Animals
Seize The Birthday: (2W Thurs, C5) Birthday

Be sure to check out the fabulous projects by my teammates the UnstampaBelles this month!

Pilin' On the Layers

Our new theme at Pile It On is Lots of Layers. You may enter the challenge as many times you like, as long as you are inspired by at least one other Challenge theme. We're sponsored by Angie's Digital Stamps. I used die cuts to make this fun card.

I cut the edges with a grass die from Elizabeth Crafts. The eggs were cut with oval dies. The llama is from a Recollections die/embossing set. I used a white-coated pink paper & sanded it to added contrast. I hand-cut the bunny ears & rounded its tail. I know it's silly, but it makes me laugh! I made the sentiments myself. The googly-eyed animals are stickers from my stash.

Inspiration/Challenges:
A2Z Scrapbooking Linky Party: (P1) Fun Fold
Animal Friends Challenge #73: (P1, must have an animal) Lambs / Sheep
Dies R Us Challenge #118: (P1/15) Anything Goes using dies that the store carries (Elizabeth Craft Designs)
Make My Monday #93: (Mon 2W) Something Humorous (my Llambit is relatively humorous!)

Update: This was chosen as a Top 3 for April's A2Z Scrapbooking Linky Party!
