A little lift

I was pleased to see, thanks to Feline Playful, that Jackson's Digital Expressions (JDE) has started hosting challenges. I'm a fan of Robert Jackson's work, and used their inaugural blog blog / Anything Goes challenge as an excuse to buy one of his unique and beautiful images.

The name of this image is WWWWEEEEE! Isn't that so perfect‽ The sentiment is a freebie from Create with TLC (thanks Paulette!)

I colored the image with Crayola & Stampin' UP! colored pencils. The wildly talented Dorcas has lots of tutorials on how to use colored pencils on Kraft paper, plus almost-daily inspiration in the form of her own cards. I've been following her blog for a while, but this is my first try at following her tips myself. [I saw a lot great colored pencil ideas on the JDE Blog Hop,too, which I'll have to investigate further!)

The flowers were cut/embossed from TH glassine paper in my Big Shot with a Spellbinders die. I sprayed them with Tattered Angels glimmer mist and attached them with silver brads I colored with my Loquat Copic (YR12).

I really wanted to leave a lot of "white space" (well, "kraft space"!), and I hope that was a good decision! It's so difficult not to keep decorating! I wanted to keep the design appropriate for a man or a women.

Thank you for visiting!

Update: Whoop whoop, I won a Gift Certificate for A Custom Digi by Robert Jackson for the JDE Inaugural Blog Hop! Wow, what an awesome prize!
