Gnome Place like Home -- Pilin' on the Layered Holidays

The theme this month at Pile It On is Holiday (no Birthday), and our mid-month optional bonus theme is Lots of Layers. The only really rule is to be inspired by more than one papercrafting challenge. We're sponsored by Gerda Steiner Designs, and I used their Gnome Couple digi stamp.

I added the sentiment myself and printed to along with the digital stamp. I colored the image & background with Copic markers, and added white flocking to his beard.

I used a double-sided Designer Paper for the card base, so I simply decorated it with some fussy-cut images from the same collection, and added a message section.

Ribbon/Lace with Crafting with Dragonflies

Our challenge this fortnight at Crafting with Dragonflies is Ribbon & Lace.

For the sentiment, I used a rubber stamp I recently won from Repeat Impressions. I heat-embossed it in hot pink. I covered the oval frame with a mix of powders.

Pilin' on the Holidays

The theme this month at Pile It On is Holiday (no Birthday). The only really rule is to be inspired by more than one papercrafting challenge. We're sponsored by Gerda Steiner Designs.

My card design was inspired by International Picnic Day. I made it as a thank-you for our neighbors, who invited us to a lovely backyard picnic on Memorial Day last weekend. Deviled eggs are a traditional picnic food in these parts.

The "eggs were cut with a Spellbinders oval die; the "yolks" were cut with a Sizzix flower die; the blue background was cut with a stitched-border circle die. I added red sequins to the center of the flowers. I created the sentiment myself on my computer.
