Goofy Shaker

I finally got my Disney papers together and had to make a shaker card!

I made the shaker element from one sheet of patterned paper with balloon dies. I used adhesive foam & acetate from Recollections, and filled it with glass beads & star sequins.

The little mouse ears aren't just 3D, they're fuzzy! I typed up the sentiments using the Handwriting-Dakota font.

I used 3 different patterned papers; I used a double-side DP for the base (I couldn't neglect either these fun designs!); the frame on the front is cut using a papercutter and inked with black Memento ink for effect. Everything is edged with a black marker.

The polka-dot tape was on sale, couldn't resist! So glad I splurged; it brought the whole design together.

Our theme this month at the UnstampaBelles challenge is: Celebrating Relationships with the optional twist of: Work in pairs or have a pair of things somewhere in your work.
You need to follow the twist to be considered as the DT Favorite, but you only have to follow main theme to win our prize. And remember, no stamps!

I made a Peek-a-Boo Card, inspired by the great tutorial at Beccy's Place.

Gnome for the Holidays -- Inspired by a Christmas Song at International Art & Soul

This fortnight at the International Art & Soul Challenge our theme is Christmas Card Based on a Christmas Carol/Song. Check out the beautiful sample projects by our Design Team at International Art & Soul, then use your imagination and have fun!

I was inspired by one of my all-time favorite Christmas songs, "There's no place like home for the Holidays" and couldn't resist using papers from Scraps of Love in Peoria, Arizona.

My mom bought the Gnome die on Wish; I couldn't resist using it to create a shaker card, although it wasn't easy; I wanted to using adhesive foam sheets, but mine were a bit too short for the full die, so I had to attach two pieces. But it was worth it, I think! It was fun paper-piecing the gnome character. For the first half of the sentiment, I did my best to match the pre-made piece and used the Cailyn Bloom Font. The cactus & pot dies are from Spellbinders.

Gnome Place like Home

I've been working on a gnome-themed card and ended up with a lot of scraps, so I decided to have a go with the great sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches! I used a sentiment I created for a previous card. The background paper is from Stamperia. My mom bought the Gnome die on Wish.

Zesty Ants -- Tiny Things at International Art and Soul

This fortnight at the International Art & Soul Challenge our theme is Tiny Things. Check out the beautiful sample projects by our Design Team at International Art & Soul, then use your imagination and have fun!

I just had to use this ant-patterned paper (Doodlebug Designs) and one of the ant-shaped buttons that's been in my stash forever. The digi stamp is "Lemon Ants" by Doodle Pantry, which I colored with Copic markers; I used rubbing alcohol and a paper towel to add texture to the lemon. The sentiment ("Live Your Life with Zest!") & lemon pattern are scratch-and-sniff washi tape. The lemons are actually cut from a bubble envelope!
