CAS + Blue at International Art & Soul

This fortnight at the International Art & Soul Challenge our challenge is CAS + Blue.

The teacup elements were made with a Heartfelt Creations die/stamp set. The set was given to me by a friend who has since passed away, so I always think of our good times together when I use it. Also, her favorite color was blue!

I had embossed this card base some time ago, but never used it. I die-cut the aperture and decorated the inside. Everything is inked with Blueprint Sketch distress ink. The sentiment on the inside is a rubber stamp by Repeat Impressions.

I was inspired by the challenge at A Place To Start to make a matching envelope:

Stuck on Boys with the UnstampaBelles

Our theme this month at the UnstampaBelles challenge is For Men/Boys, with the optional twist of Staple or Peg/Clothespin. You need to follow the twist to be considered as the DT Favorite, but you only have to follow main theme to win our prize. And remember, no stamps!

I used a chipboard album to make a memory book for my little one's first visit with some of his cousins from Florida.

I used a onsie/babygrow-shaped shaker from Queen & Co. and "pinned" it to a twine washline with mini clothespins.

Inspiration/Challenges:
Get Creative Challenge #78: (1st Mon) Anything Goes + Option: Anything But a Card
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: (Wed) Weather (sunny Spring day)

Be sure to check out the fabulous projects by my teammates the UnstampaBelles this month!

Pilin' On the Rainbows

The themes this month at Pile It On are Your Favorite Color and/or Rainbows. You can choose one or both themes, and you may enter the challenge as many times you like, as long as you are inspired by at least one other Challenge theme. We're sponsored by The Paper Shelter, and I used their Glittery And Sparkling set.

The rainbow stamp is from Scrapper's Paradise, and the cloud-shaped shaker is from Jillibean Soup.

For the inside, I used a background image that comes with the Glittery And Sparkling set.

Green Plus 2 Colors at International Art & Soul

This fortnight at the International Art & Soul Challenge we're challenging you to use Green Plus 2 Colors.

I filled the shaker portion with Queen & Co. fruit-shaped sprinkles, since they perfectly matched my color scheme! Their addition also inspired my choice of sentiment, which was heat-embossed in white. The footprints are rubber stamps by Repeat Impressions. The baby is a rubber stamp from Lili of the Valley,

My color scheme was inspired by a lovely present our neighbor made for our son. She made this hat & cozy baby bag in a round loom! This is a thank-you card for her.

Inspiration/Challenges:
JFF Monthly Challenge: (P5, C5, rubber stamp) Movement (Repeat Impressions & LOTV rubber stamps)
Pattie's Creations #156: (1st Friday/mo, digital or stamped image) Babies

Update: I was the lucky winner at JFF!

Pilin' On your Favorite Color

Our new theme at Pile It On is Your Favorite Color. You may enter the challenge as many times you like, as long as you are inspired by at least one other Challenge theme. We're sponsored by The Paper Shelter. Every color has a special place in my heart, but Purple has definitely been a favorite in my life: We were married in a purple building & my husband wore a purple suit! Plus it's the official color of our local U.S. Football team, the Baltimore Ravens, so it's a common color to show off!

I made an origami dress to go along with this sweet image from Lili of the Valley. The tutorial makes a larger dress, but I was able to make this from a 2x2-inch piece of cardstock that I had previously decorated.
