Butterflies & Caffeine -- Blog Hop at Coffee Loving Cardmakers

http://coffeelovingcardmakers.com/2020/05/2020-spring-summer-coffee-lovers-blog-hop/
It's that time again: the Spring/Summer Blog Hop at the Coffee Loving Cardmakers! I always enjoy playing along.

I've been cleaning out my stash, and found this sweet coffee cup die-cut sentiment (Heartfelt Creations, Stampin' Up!) so I made a shaker card with my favorite kawaii coffee, woodgrain, and yellow-patterned papers, and coffee-scented washi tape. I filled the shaker with die-cut coffee beans (Elizabeth Crafts) and tiny butterflies (Scraps of Love).

Many thanks to all who make this Blog Hop possible!

Social Media Wisdom -- Humor at International Art & Soul

This fortnight at the International Art & Soul Challenge our theme is Humorous.

This is one of my favorite themes, I like a good giggle on a card! I used emoji dies (Sizzix) and papers, plus some fun papers from my stash; the shaker is filled with sequins & tiny scissors (!) from Spiegelmom Scraps; I fussy-cut the troll (Scraps of Love) and laptop from patterned papers. I generated the sentiment myself using the font Fake Receipt, and cut it with a banner die.

I used a great computer-patterned paper for the inside; it's the same paper I fussy-cut the laptop from.

Wings of Love -- Flowers & Butterflies at International Art & Soul

This fortnight at the International Art & Soul Challenge our theme is Flowers & Butterflies.

I used foam, dies and scrap plastic to make a shaker card. I filled it with a lovely sequin mix from Spiegelmom Scraps. The large butterfly has been in my stash for a long time, and worked just right with this sentiment rubber stamp.

Love One Another -- No Focal Image at International Art & Soul

This fortnight at the International Art & Soul Challenge we're challenging you to make a project with No Focal Image.

My neighbor commissioned me to make a card for her parents' 25th Wedding Anniversary. I was inspired by the Building Block Card tutorial at Beccy's Place.

I used some beautiful handmade papers, and a patterned vellum for the pop out portion. I heat embossed the sentiments in white on gold paper, and die cut the shapes. I used gold stickers for the numbers. This was made with a lot of love because the family is very special to our family. I'm so glad I was able to get it to them before the quarantine. Love to all during this difficult time.

Shakey Scissors -- Sketch at International Art & Soul

This fortnight at the International Art & Soul Challenge we have a Sketch. I love sketch challenges, and had so much fun with it!
I decided to go with a Crafting theme, to show off some of my stash (instead of hoarding it as I tend to do!): the papers are from PhotoPlay, and the Sequin mix is from Spiegelmom Scraps. The sentiment inside the shaker came with the sequins; the silly crafting sentiment is a rubber stamp from Viva Las VegaStamps.

Moony Unicorns -- Recycling at International Art and Soul

This fortnight at the International Art & Soul Challenge our challenge is Recycle. My recycled item is the blue mesh bag that our Christmas pearl onions came in. They took forever to peel, but Mom cooks them with molasses & orange juice and are a delicious holiday tradition.

Mom also gifted me these beautiful Graphic 45 papers and moon-themed & sentiment die sets. Of course I couldn't wait to use them all!

I made a double shaker: The moon & stars die-cut is over acetate, and is also underneath a layer of acetate. There are gold stars under the moon, and blue sequins (and 2 unicorns!) above it. This wasn't as time-consuming as it sounds; I used die-cuttable adhesive foam & acetate. I adhered the blue mesh, which I cut into a frame, with glitter glue. The words are die-cut from a very shimmery gold paper; this photo doesn't do it justice!

I finished the card with a Birthday sentiment and some decoration to the inside:
