Cherished Pink -- Edgy Fancy Frame/Border with the UnstampaBelles

Our theme this month at the UnstampaBelles challenge is Fancy Frame/Border, with the optional twist of Edgy. You need to follow the twist to be considered as the DT Favorite, but you only have to follow main theme to win our prize.

I used a die-cut embellishments that were given to me years ago by a friends who is now deceased, so it means a lot to me. The tags are stickers I've had in my stash for even more years! I punched borders on the left-hand side with a punch I've had possibly longer! I added some bling to the tags & heart.

Be sure to check out the fabulous projects by my teammates the UnstampaBelles this month!

Spots and Stripes at Crafting with Dragonflies

Our challenge this fortnight at Crafting with Dragonflies is to make a card with Spots and Stripes.

I used a Stampendous stamp featuring this wonderful image by Laurel Burch.

I used a striped paper for the die-cut sentiment, and a spotted paper for the corners. For the background, I embossed two different papers: a textured Core'Dinations cardstock & ran an orange ink pad over the raised bits; and a yellow cardstock & I inked the embossed folder with the same orange ink pad. I colored the image with Copic markers. My mother-in-law gave me a beautiful purse featuring some of Laurel Burch's dogs, so I made this for her.

Thank you for visiting & hope you'll join the fun at Crafting with Dragonflies

Pilin' on the Vintage Empowerment

The theme this month at Pile It On is Vintage/Retro. The only really rule is to be inspired by more than one papercrafting challenge. We're sponsored by Pickled Potpourri, and I used their
Deep Breath digital stamp.

I printed the image one a shiny cardstock and heat-embossed it with light blue powder; It didn't cover the whole thing, but I really liked the effect. I used an embossing ink pen to add two more blue powders, and added some color with Copics and glitter pens. The banner is made with two Washi tapes. The background was made with Graphic 45 papers from my scrap box; I can never part with any of them! I distressed all the edges with an Ingrid Bolme tool. I really had fun being inspired by this Pickled Potpourri image; this is advice I need to follow more often!
