Forever Rudolph

This week, the free cartridge for the Cricut Craftroom is the 3D Rudolph Head and I just had to try it out! I adapted the plaque background to fit into the sketch design. It was tricky, but fun.

I stamped the Studio G sentiment ("naughty or nice") in brown StazOn ink onto wood tape and added a staple. I used Vintage Photo distress ink for the distressing on the wood-grain paper as well as to color more wood tape. The silver doily was a gift from Mom, as were the little jingle bells.

Inspiration/Challenges:

Update: This was selected as a prize winner for Mojo Monday #422!

White Poinsettias

This shaker card was inspired by the lovely Poinsettia-themed embossing folders that came with a magazine this month. The sentiment was cut on my Silhouette cameo. I filled the shaker portion with Diamond Dust glitter, and used some of it for the center of the felt flowers.

Silhouette Challenges: Anything Goes + item cut on Silhouette (sentiment)

Joyful Ding-dongs

This Joy Fold card was inspired by this silly sentiment from a Designer Paper in my holiday stash. The cards are made with a double-sided DPs. I hand- pieced & -sewed the border on the front, securing the real jingle bells along the way. For the inside, I stamped the sentiment and bell on a shiny paper, which I cut into a banner.

I added some puffy stickers to the sentiment; they sort of remind me old cookbook decoration. I used some gingerbread men stickers on the inside & back. I'm certainly starting to feel the holiday spirit...at least the sweet parts!

Inspiration/Challenges:

Update: I won the prize for Connie Can Crop #40!

Gingerbread Family

I spent Halloween day making Christmas holiday cards with some friends. I had lots of fun, and found some great things in my holiday stash, including these papers and felt gingerbread people (I used deckle scissors to add little "chomps" to their heads):

Inspired by a Song at the Crafter's Cafe

The Crafter's Cafe Challenge theme is Inspired by a Song. We're sponsored by Creative Bug and Deedee's Digis. I was inspired by the songs "Whistle While You Work" & "Heigh-Ho" from Snow White, and used the cute Happy Dance digi stamp by Creative Bug. A crafting friend of mine works for for the railroad, so I made this card for her.

Crafty Hazelnut's Patterned Paper: Anything goes with Patterned Paper
Cuttlebug Mania: Trees (die cuts: treeline and image & sentiment pieces)
Incy Wincy Designs: Sketch
