Thankful Baby Shake -- Special Event / Celebration at Crafting with Dragonflies

It's the 2nd week of Special Event / Celebration at Crafting with Dragonflies. If you haven't joined us yet, you still have time!

As you may know, my husband & I are expecting our first child in December! So I've been making a lot of thank-you cards. Here's a trifold card made as a thank-you for a lovely stroller.

The base is a double-sided KaiserCraft paper. The rattle-shaped shaker is from Queen & Co., which Mom treated me to at the Stamp & Scrapbook Expo in Mesa, Arizona, in September.

First fold open:
I've included a photo of our 13-year-old dog Walt with the ultrasound in all our thank-you cards. He looks so cute and slightly apprehensive!

Open completely (message written in the middle panel):
I used two embossing folders on the gold paper, and added some Washi tape.

Thank you for visiting & hope you'll join the fun at Crafting with Dragonflies

Green Llama -- Wild Animals at International Art & Soul

Our theme this fortnight at the International Art & Soul Challenge is Wild Animals. I had so much making my first card, I had to make another using the same sketch.

The llama and succulents & pots are from two Recollections die/embossing sets. This time, I cut the llama from a green mirri paper (which looks great IRL but is very difficult to photograph!), and used a Marvy WetLooks marker to color the raised embossing portions before cutting/embossing, and heat-embossing it with red glitter powder. The santa hat & xmas lights are stickers from my stash. I heat-embossed the sentiment (a favorite stamp) in red onto the pot. The black & white patterned paper is by jubilee/MME; I hand-colored the red & green stripe.

I also decorated the inside:

Love is a Four-legged Word -- Pilin' On the Pets

The theme this month at Pile It On is Pets. The only really rule is to be inspired by more than one papercrafting challenge. We're sponsored by Dr. Digi's House of Stamps, and I used their hilarious Walkies digi stamp.

You may remember that I used this image back in 2016; I had so much fun making that card, I just had to use it again! I cut the frames with stitched-square dies. The pawprint ribbon is from my stash. I made the sentiment myself, and drew the stitching on the outer frame by hand.
