Pilin' on the Holidays

The theme this month at Pile It On is Holiday (no Birthday). The only really rule is to be inspired by more than one papercrafting challenge. We're sponsored by Gerda Steiner Designs.

My card design was inspired by International Picnic Day. I made it as a thank-you for our neighbors, who invited us to a lovely backyard picnic on Memorial Day last weekend. Deviled eggs are a traditional picnic food in these parts.

The "eggs were cut with a Spellbinders oval die; the "yolks" were cut with a Sizzix flower die; the blue background was cut with a stitched-border circle die. I added red sequins to the center of the flowers. I created the sentiment myself on my computer.
