Ribbon, twine or Washi tape Challenge at Card Cupids - Week 2

Hello all, it's the second week of our "ribbon, twine, or washi tape" Card Cupids challenge, so I made another card featuring I-love-you-this-much-Cynthi by The Stamping Boutique:

I printed the images out 3 times: on pink, white, and vellum. I pieced the vellum wings behind the body, after coloring it all with Copics and glitter pens. THe pink piece is cut with a Spellbinders die. I heat-embossed the sentiment in pink, then ran a ribbon through a hole below it; I added a decorative brad that I've been hoarding forever! I used a embossing punch for the corners of the hot pink piece, and a corner rounder for the base card (both from Fiskars). For someone who says she doesn't much like pink, I happen to have both hot pink sheer ribbon and tulle! This was so much fun to make.

Hope you'll join in with us this week, and be a Card Cupid! The only requirement for our challenges, other than the theme, is to send in at least one card to Card Cupids (the simple instructions are here).

How is it already the 6th of July, 2012‽ Yesterday marked my Blogiversary, and, as of my writing this, this little blog has had 31718 pageviews, 556 posts, and has reached 133 Google followers!

I'm thrilled at the 40 entrants for my Blog Candy, and have really enjoyed meeting all my new crafty friends. Many thanks for all your great comments too, they made my week! [Sneha, please send me your email address so I can answer your questions.]

There can only be one winner, and Random.org choose ...

Congrats! Looks like my Candy will be leaping over the Pond, much like last year's!

Digi fun at OSAAT

We have a fun and relatively easy challenge for you this week at One Stitch at a Time: Use a Digi.

This week, I got to chose for myself and teamie Nataliya, so I picked Swirly Street by Hope Jacare Doodles. Be sure to check out Nat's great card! I made a Tucked Flap Card:

Here's a photo that shows how it opens:
And the back:

So easy! I used a double-sided DP, and cut the fence on my Cricut with the Paper Dolls cartridge. I colored the image with Copics; the sentiment is from the always-awesome TLC Creations.

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:
Charisma Cardz: Anything goes
52 Card Pickup: Link-up Party

Hope you'll join us for our Use a Digi challenge at One Stitch at a Time!

Dude Time Sports at Pile It On!

Dude Time Doodles is sponsoring the Pile It On Challenge this week, so we have the theme For/From a Man (emphasis on sports).

I used Football Phil by Dude Time Doodles/Bonibleaux Designs, along with some of my Smirk brand papers & stickers, to make this motivational card:

I cut the metal strip with a Sizzix border die, and then heat-embossed the whole thing with a shiny blue.

Inspiration/Challenges:
  1. Pile It On Challenge #27: For/From a Man (emphasis on sports)
  2. Crafty Boots Challenge: Sports
  3. Here Come the Boys Challenge #30: Metal and/or Embossing
