This week at One Stitch at a Time (OSAAT), it's Anything Goes. StitchyBear's Digi Outlet has hundreds of digital products from many wonderful artists, and if you use one of our products you'll be entered to win the super-duper main prize.
I used Sunflower by Barbara Jensen to create this Notch-Swing card:
This is one of my favorite techniques; I have no idea where I learned it. Does anybody recognize this technique and know it's proper name? I know I must have seen it somewhere. Basically, you make small slits or notches in a shape and fit in a slighter larger shape. This is easy to do with dies, but for this project I designed the card in SCAL and cut it with my electronic die-cutting machine, which made it easier to cut the frames as well. The paper on the bottom, with the stripes and sunflower border, is also a Graphic 45 DP, but not quite as long-hoarded.
For the opposite side, I printed a sentiment from TLC Creations onto a textured yellow paper.
