Happy Techie Day!

Apparently, October 3rd (today) is National Techies Day. What we do without techies! Since my husband is a techie-extraordinaire (Computer Engineer), I thought I'd make him a fun little card to celebrate!

I've been waiting for an excuse to use this adorable Control Alt Delete cut file from SVG Cutting Files. I adapted it a bit in SCAL, and matched it with a sentiment piece made with an image from a Clear Art Stamps set and and a sentiment from a Country Companions set. This is a one-sided card; I cut it with a PageMakers die from a Graphic 45 paper.

Incidentally, today is also my birthday (which I totally used as an excuse to purchase this cutting file!) ... To quote my mom's birthday card to me, "It's been an interesting 37 years!" I've received lots of love, but I was especially moved by this card & special blog post by Chriss. I have a lot to be grateful for in my life, not least of which is this wonderful crafting community. Happy Day to all!

Thank you for visiting & hug a techie!
