Hello, friend!

[My stop on the Dude Time Doodles New Release Blog Leap is HERE]

Spring is beginning, but to be honest it's not as spectacular as usual due to our very mild winter. It was rainy and gray this morning, but by this afternoon it was sunny enough to take my card outside...without a coat on!

I'm really enjoying the "clean and simple" style, and love using to with fabric.

I just acquired a bag of feathers, so I had to try this week's Recipe at Die Cuttin' Divas: Fabric, Feathers, and/or Flowers + die-cuts. I didn't include flowers, but the swirl and card (including the card base) are cut with dies on my Big Shot.

The sentiment is embossed onto felt that I adhered to cardstock before running it through my machine. I hand-cut the piece out. I added a line of stitching with brown/white bakers twine.

I made the base in the same manner, but with a natural cotton fabric (from a bag I cut up!). I'm not sure how much longer I'll be able to keep to the CAS style, but I'll defintely be doing it more often.
